Do I have to give my firstborn or sacrifice an elderly parent to make this incompetent piece of garbage do what it was supposedly made to do? Why, when I click send to mail recipient, does it instead load a window that says "Checking new messages" while downloading thousands of e-mails of spam from my junk folders? Are the people who design the software mentally inept or are they purposefully trolling people with their auto downloading of over a decades worth of **** "feature"?

Microsoft has not sent second email to reset password for Windows Live Mail Account
On Friday June 24, 2015:
1. I attempted to sign into my live.com account. I was told that someone else was possibly using my account (I'm 99% positive this appeared because I was using mylive.com account on a different computer).
2. I was told to either confirm a code using the alternative email address I provided or by clicking that I could not verify my account. Because I do not know the password to my alternative email address, I could not get the code that way. Therefore, I clicked that I could not verify my account.
3. I filled out the questionnaire twice. The first time it said that my account was blocked because it did not seem like the account was mine. The second time I received a message saying:
"Congratulations! We have confirmed that you are the owner of *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. An additional email with a link to reset your password has been sent to this email address."
4. I DID NOT receive a follow up email allowing me the opportunity to reset my password. I have checked my spam folder, trash folder, and went through my entire email and IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN SENT.
5. Since I had already filled out the questionnaire twice, upon my third attempt to fill it out I was told I had tried it too many times and needed to wait 24 hrs before I could fill it out again.
6. I attempted to have a security change and added my cell phone number to the account so I could possibly receive a code through text messaging. Now when I attempt to sign into the live.com account, I am told that there the security change will take 30 days to complete, however I should still be able to use my account without a problem.THIS IS NOT TRUE, SINCE I CANNOT SIGN INTO MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE I WAS NEVER GIVEN THE RE-SET PASSWORD LINK.
ON SATURDAY JULY 25, 2015:
1. I filled out the questionnaire AGAIN (the first attempt on 7/25/15). I was sent an email saying that my account could not be verified thus further blocking my account, AGAIN. Let it be noted, I filled out the questionnaire the EXACT SAME WAY as when I received the confirmation email on 7/24/15.

3. Since I could not post a question without a Microsoft account, I made a temporary account so I could post my question in hopes of gaining access to my live.com account.
4. I would like for it to be noted that the customer service for Microsoft is atrocious and I will be deleting both outlook and windows live mail accounts as soon as I am able to access the live.com account because jumping through all these circles is absolutely ridiculous.
I would appreciate some prompt customer service in this matter. Thank you.

Windows live Mail problems
We appear to have a dodgy connection with talktalk server - this has been happening for a few weeks - affecting random emails - but now we've completely lost the connection - and talktalk swear there is no problem their end. We get 2 windows - first one
is "Log-on talktalk" with user-name and password all filled in and it says "Next time you log on you'll have to fnput your password." This window has appeared quite a bit but usually you could close down, go back in to WLM and all would be well - no window
- tho' sometimes you had to wait till next day - or till Mon if it was the weekend. Re passwords, talktalk made me change it yesterday - I've obviously tried putting the new one in - no change.
The 2nd window is Windows Live Mail error message - which says that an incorrect password was entered - not true.
Any ideas, please, anyone? I know I can use Webmail but I use email a lot for various committees - folders etc - and WLM is also easier for me to read - I have macular degeneration.

Making "calendar" default screen for Windows Live Mail

In windows 7 with Outlook, my forwarding messages change to HUGE font.

Cannot see all messages in 'Sent items'
I received an email from person 1 and replied and sent
I then forwarded original received email to person 2 without reply attached
My problem is when I now go to sent items I only see the reply I forwarded to the second person not the reply I sent first with my response which I really need to have access to...
Why is this so ..is there any way I can see the first sent email with the response on it???

Missing mail
I've noticed that lots of my emails are missing. Some have been automatically sent to 'Trash', although I have not requested this to happen, and others have just vanished completely. There is not a particular individual or company that seems particularly at risk, it appears to be totally random. The problem is also getting worse. I am losing lots of important emails from work - many before they have even been read. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to rectify it?

Live Mail - Emails, Folders and Email Addresses Gone
My computer crashed recently. I use Windows Live Mail and when I downloaded that to my new computer, all of my email folders are gone and some of my email addresses are there. All of my emails are gone. Is there any way to get them back?
Also, what do I need to do now on my new computer to save my folders, etc. - in case this happens again. All of my other items on my computer were backed up on Carbonite and have been put on my new computer.

Un-Linking hotmail account from Windows live mial
How do I unlink hot mail from Windows live mail. Every time I open windows live mail, I am asked to sign in to my Hotmail account, and I do not want this. I only download mail from my POP3 account and only have one email account listed in windows live mail, but the system just keeps asking me every time I open it. I don't want to sign in to Hotmail as I DO NOT use this account for anything.

I have the shortcut for Live Mail that has always worked. Now when I click on it I only get a little box of the Live Mail screen and can't enlarge it or open it. I can't get Live Mail to open any other way either.

Can't send emails with Live mail, getting two types of errors
Hi, I have an issue when sending emails from my Live mail account. I get two types of error IDs. I got through the other posts here on forum, but nothing seems to work (actually it got even worse).
First error is:
Message cannot be send. Settings for outgoing email server needs to be configured [SMTP]. Message goes on.......

Windows Live Mail 2012 - wont print emails from one company.
We are using Windows Live mail 2012, on Windows 7 PC. The email addresses we use are AOL and downloaded via IMAP. everything seems fine with most email except - one company we deal with on a regular basis, their emails won't print, all other emails print fine.
You click on print and the menu closes, but nothing happens, it doesn't sit in the print queue, just nothing.
Have tried doing the repair Microsoft essentials - doesn't work. This issue is on all 4 PC's in the office so I imagine it is something to do with the default email settings, could it be their emails are in a different format??

impossible to move mails to a new folder in live mail
Using in setting the option to move the folder containing mails, I can create a new folder to move the content of default folder containing the mails but I can't select it because the OK button is gray and so the operation is not possible. Consider that the new folder which I create is in drive D.
