Hi MikeM222,
We perfectly respect your thoughts about Hotmail/Outlook.com and your comments and suggestions are really important to us.
Please be informed that the information about the contacts limit on Outlook.com that was provided bykathleencollins was on the year 2012. Based on our recent updates, the contacts limit on Outlook.com
has been increased and we can assure you that it is greater than the previous limit. However, we can't give you the exact number. On the other hand, if you're really interested to know more information about your contacts limit, we'd like to request for your affected email address so that we can check it on our end. Just click on "You have a private reply to this message" (red font) link just above your post to view the message.

We will wait for your response.
Thank you.
There is little point in lying and misrepresenting the facts.
The contact limit in outlook was, is, and has remained at 1500.
I am using Windows Live Mail to handle my email accounts and what I have noticed is that Outlook will temporarily go past 1500 contacts (say, 1505), only to wake up the next day, sign in, and find out that the contacts are 1500. It basically deletes sufficient contacts randomly to get back to the 1500.
I have backed up all my contacts independently (i.e. away from Microsoft) such that I can preserve them.
When you can start providing us with the truth, pease let us know
Thank you
