Problem sending signed / encrypted email in Live Mail

$

I'm attempting to use Live Mail 2012 to send encrypted / digitally signed emails in order to evaluate it as a means of securing communications between members of my startup company.  I have a digital certificate in .cer format that I've attempted to import through the Security tab of the Safety Options dialog.  When I select the .cer and add it to the Personal store, I receive a message, "The import was successful."  However, the certificate does not show up in the certificates list, and when I attempt to send any signed or encrypted emails, I'm told I must "first obtain a digital ID for this account."

Any ideas why Live Mail is telling me the import is successful, when it clearly isn't?  Is there any trick to getting a cert imported?

I, too, have had this problem - when sending a group e-mail, only one "bounces back" with the following error message:

"Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following

Windows Live Mail Storage Folders sort

I've recently had to move my Live Mail accounts from one failing computer to another, which I did by copying the Windows Live Mail folder from one to the other. All looked well until I came to review the Storage Folders and found that the e-mails in the Imported Folders / Local Folders / Sent were no longer sorted by 'To' and this didn't appear in the Sort List. Instead they were all showing as 'From' the relevant account.

Moving a few e-mails into the Storage Folder / Sent Items folder now showed 'To' in the sort list, but creating a sub folder in Sent Items and moving the e-mails there reverted back to a 'From ' sort.

Is there a way to add the 'To' sort feature back into the sub folders in the Imported Folders?

My deleted folder and my junk mail folder will not empty. The error is UID store Failed Configuration Server: IMAP.Charter.net

I have several folders in my Windows Live Mail File Cabinet that contain a number of different messages.  The list shows different dates and subjects but no matter which I click the same one opens.  This message is also the only one that shows in the preview window.  What is the problem and how do I fix it?  Thanks.

Live Mail Settings Revert to Previous - Happens Daily After Changing Outgoing Mail Server

A few weeks ago, my ISP (Cox) changed what outgoing server I must use.  Old one was "smarthost.coxmail.com"  New one is "smtp.east.cox.net".

This works fine when I put in the new server; however, when I come back the next day, the settings have somehow switched back to the old server.  As a result, I can't send email until I change it to the new one.

Cox knows nothing about this, and tells me that I must have a virus.  I scanned with several antivirus and anti-malware programs, and it seems clean.  Note that "smarthost.coxmail.com" used to be the correct server for me, but they have changed it.

I set up a new account using the new server, and it stays correct.  However, I have 2 old accounts that keep switching back sometime during the night.

Any ideas?

MICROSOFT LIVE MAIL

Hello,

Has anyone experience a problem with live mail when you can open it, doesn't accept your login info even though the package is loaded on the computer.  Tried re-entering my email, server info and it still does not accept.  I contacted my provider, they searched and found no fixes on line and also tried entering my info.  Right now the ribbon appears with home, file, folders etc., but the in/out boxes are not available nor my personal folders, etc.  I placed a call to Microsoft Live Mail and one needs to pay for their help to solve its issues.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Windows Live Mail (Sending a Photo e-mail) getting error 0x8CCCC197 when trying to send.

Running Windows 7 Pro

Windows Live Mail 2012 (build 16.4.3528.0331)

About a month ago, I was experiencing the photo e-mail "publishing" to the One Drive issue

Similar too http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/photo-attachments-stuck-in-outbox-when-sending/247a59bd-3198-4ecc-aed0-1c4fbdbd78f7

Now that error has stopped/changed to a new error 0x8CCCC197.

Delete the photo email, create a new one, and try to send it again.

Subject 'test'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8CCCC197

I can delete the "photo e-mail" from the outbox (does not help)

Created new Photo e-mails and is does not help

I can send normal e-mails with pictures as attachments

It still seems to be an issue with creating a shared folder in OneDrive to make the Photo e-mails.

(I heard that it is now working again for some people, so I'm just looking for a bit of an update on Microsoft's support of the Photo E-mail from the Windows Live Programs, and working with OneDrive)

Thanks.

My main email account let's say email R. I have set up Windows Live Mail for email R. I want to forward any emails I send from email R to email L. I have set up the following Mail Rule: 'For all messages', 'forward it to people', for people I've put email L. However, none of the emails that I've actually sent are going to email L, but everything else is. It seems to be excluding sent messages.

Account is a pop3 account. It is an exchange account. I'm using Windows 7.

Pls help me out. Or alternative is there an option to always CC an email automatically?

My server charter.net upgraded and I had to change the pop3 server to IMAP. After doing so thousands of past emails downloaded from charter.  I could not stop it.  Tried everything. So I let them download and then deleted them.  Now when I try to delete them from the deleted items folder they won't go. the error is "UID store failed"  this is slowing down my computer. how do I get rid of these deleted items?

Recently I have not been able to send or receive emails in my Windows Live Mail program.  I can get the emails in webmail on Yahoo.com and on my mobile devices but not in Windows Live Mail.  The error message that comes in is

A friend suggested that I have kept too many emails but deleting batches of them doesn't help.  Any suggestions?

I'm using the Windows 10 Ojtlook app to manage my Outlook account. But I only can see the most recent emails. Anything that's older than like a week simply doesn't appear.

Is the any setting to be able to access all my emails always?

Thanks

Virtualapp/didactic shouldn't be there. I deleted it and now I'm deleting all my MS LIVE bs, plus, MS, 8.1 isn't listed as a choice on the drop down box below. I'll put 7, or they won't let me continue. Sheesh.
