Configuration:
   Account: Cox *****
   Server: imap.cox.net
   User name: *****
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 993
   Secure(SSL): 1
   Code: 800ccc0f

Error Message reads:  "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.  Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, a long period of inactivity."

"Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server due to non-network errors."

I have Windows 7.  Using Windows Live Mail.

I receive the error message when opening an email and trying to delete the email.  Sometimes happens when trying to delete each email, other times after deleting two of three emails.  This error message has happened in the past, but did not continue until it appeared a couple of days ago and now will not go away.

I tried turning off Norton, but that did not make any difference. I have had Norton installed since purchasing the computer in 2011.

I can receive and send emails using Live Mail.

I have had Cox review all the email settings on my computer, which they said are all correct.

I have had Norton review their software install on my computer  and they said Norton is not the problem.

I have run the Windows Live Essential file fix located on the control panel.

I have deleted all of the emails in the outbox.

I have increased the server timeout from 1 to 5 minutes for my email account with Cox.

I would appreciate any help in finding the solution to this problem.  Thank you!
