I'm helping a friend with a desktop computer running Windows 7 Home Premium. She has used Windows Live Mail 2012 as a pop mail client for about 2 years. The application no longer will open. After clicking the WLM shortcut icon, the green circle spins but the application never opens or displays an error message.
The WLM Log shows these errors:

I've attempted to gather information that would help me apply a fix, but have failed to this point.
The following list is a brief description of things I've tried with no success:
- I've searched the Windows Event Viewer and found nothing that seemed helpful.
- I ran the Windows System File Checker which found nothing.
- Temporariliy turned off the firewall and antivirus to see if conflicts existed.
- I've initiated a repair of WLM from within the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control panel.
- I did a System Restore using a Restore Point created when WLM was still working.
- I applied the Microsoft Fix It 50604 designed to repair the WLM problems associated with Update KB2452846 and certain versions of the Intel integrated graphics drivers.
- After manually backing up the Windows Live Mail folder from the .../AppData/Local/Microsoft/ folder, I did a clean uninstall of the WLM using Add/Remove Programs. After exporting references to Windows Live Mail from the Registry, I deleted them. I then reinstalled WLM after downloading Windows Live Essentials 2012. I experienced the identical spinning circle after attempting to launch the reinstalled version of WLM 2012.
Is there anything left to try short of doing a clean reinstall of Windows 7?
Any ideas would be welcomed.
