I have four separate hotmail accounts (for different uses and family members) running together through Windwos Live Mail. As of yesterday, only one of those accounts will not sync with WLM. Under details (when checking for new mail), the Tasks tab simply indicates "Check for new messages on 'hotmail (h.....r)' Cancelled" and there are no codes under the Errors tab. All of the accounts use the same server URL and I am not having problems sending or receiving mail on any of the other accounts.
By way of troubleshooting I have:
Updated my password online to verify I am entering the correct password in both places - I can login and view messages online.
Restarted my computer
Repaired Windows Essentials from the control panel
Deleted the offending account from WLM and re-installed it.
Turned off my antivirus software to eliminate potential software conflict (which I didn't expect since the other accounts are working, but it was the only other suggestion in the forums and I didn't want to waste time if that was the help offered)
Since re-installing, the inbox of this account simply says "Windows Live Mail is synchronizing this account. Check back in a few minutes to read your messages".
