Hi
I've recently got a new computer, with Windows 8 and I’m using Windows Live Mail 2012. On my old computer I was using Outlook Express (with XP). In OE when I did a REPLY then there wasn't anything about choosing "Plain Text" or html. Now - as you know - there is this choice.
If I choose Plain Text then (obviously!) I can't use a personalised font. But if I choose html [remember this is in a REPLY] then EVERYTHING changes to my personal default font. Bleh. This happens to be Book Antiqua (!) and it looks very wrong to have everything in this font.
What I'd like would be to have what Outlook Express allowed, that is using my own font while leaving previous fonts unchanged.
What I do now, btw, is to change all the old stuff to Calibri, but that's a pain, and also it doesn’t have the advantage of making different people's previous messages stand out as different – as well as simply being polite.
I don’t want to use Outlook, btw. I don’t need all the stuff it offers; I chose Live Mail because it’s the closest to Outlook Express (RIP).
If you have a workaround, that'd be great to know about. But if you don't please can you TELL MICROSOFT that they need to make this possible again (along with all the other things we're all moaning about! :) ).
Thanks.
