Hi folks.
Several days ago, I was happily using my lap-top, receiving and sending emails, looking at youtube, etc., when I noticed a thing called the AVG browser suddenly appear whenever I clicked onto Torch or Chrome. My default was IE8. I could use that OK. The problem started when I tried to un-install AVG. It just wouldn't happen. Advice from various forums didn't help, so I contacted the Norton help desk (remote control of machine). I thought they had been successful, until I went into the "uninstall/change" page- AVG was still there. Norton again was contacted, and this time everything associated with AVG was removed. However, my email (from lizzy.com.au) which is assessed via Microsoft Live Mail, showed no emails- all folders (approx 12), had gone, along with "Sent items" folder, which held business emails. I contacted Lizzy Internet, and the representative talked me through generating another email account (using same username). Lo and behold- all my past emails were retrieved- all 3,400 of them. BUT!! All folders still gone. The rep suggested I contact Microsoft Live Mail, to see if folders could be retrieved. So that's where I'm at folks. How can the folders and their contents be recovered?
