I'm having similar problems to the original sender.
Every time I tried to send a message, I would get the "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again." message.
I have tried fixing the install multiple times.
I have tried defragmenting the MessageStore.
I even deleted the MessageStore and let Live Mail recreate it. (And, interestingly, the files were different sizes.) Still can't send messages.
Then I attempted a clean re-install, and that's where I'm stuck. When I tried to re-install after uninstalling Windows Essentials 2012, the installer says that all of the programs are still installed, and doesn't even TRY to overwrite them.
Help?
Edit: The last part is a big problem. Programs and Features says the program isn't there, but the installer does and won't reinstall. So I'm left with a bunch of files hanging on my hard drive and no way to read them. If there was a way to force a reinstall of the programs - not just E-mail, but movie maker, family safety, etc, I'd appreciate a pointer.
