I have Windows Live Mail (WLM) Desktop 2012 on several machines. MyWindows 7 laptop has had it installed since they informed us thatOutlook Express was being phased out several years ago, but I have updated it on each release (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3522.0110)). On this machine, when you click onContacts, it opens in the same window as theMail program. On a Windows XP box, I have installed this on a few days ago, when you click onContacts, it opens in a separate Window (Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8117.0416)). I do not know if the versions make a difference, but was this feature removed as I would like to be able to go back and
forth between my Inbox and Contacts without losing what I am reading. I useAlt+Tab to switch between apps, which is far more efficient than mouse clicking and trying to locate what you were, because all the lists reset themselves as you move from one window to the next. I have looked through the registry settings
on each machine, but cannot find anything that would indicate opening Contactsin a separate window. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
