While I use my hotmail account as my primary email address, I also get some email at a Yahoo Mail address (sbcglobal.net) through AT&T, my ISP. I use Windows Live Mail to manage my emails, and WLM has recently started to download multiple copies of emails on the sbcglobal.net account. It starts with just a single copy of each new email, but the next "sweep" of emails will generate an extra copy of the pre-existing emails; if I don't erase those, they'll turn into four, then eight, etc. Even if I go through and erase all these copies (up to 47,000 at the moment!) and empty the Deleted Items Folder, these things will come back from the dead! Oddly, this only applies to emails from 3/17 onward, plus a batch of emails dated 3/12. I made no changes to my Yahoo Mail account settings during this time -- in fact, the last time I accessed that account through Yahoo, rather than WLM, was many months ago.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this and, much more importantly, how to stop it? I'm being overrun by email Tribbles!
